Hemorrhoids

If you suffer from hemorrhoids, you are definitely not alone. About half of all Americans will have this common condition at some point in their lives. Unfortunately, by the time they seek help, they are usually in serious need of it.

But that doesn’t mean they need surgical removal via hemorrhoidectomy. In fact, hemorrhoidectomy is now considered inappropriate treatment for hemorrhoids in most cases. When you factor in the inherent risk of surgery, pain and downtime, it’s easy to see why so few of these surgeries are performed.

You should be aware that without treatment, your hemorrhoids and misery will return and will get worse over time. Why suffer needlessly? Especially when today’s preferred treatment is so much easier on you.

The most common treatment for hemorrhoids is called rubber-band ligation, or simply hemorrhoid banding. Over 50 million of these are performed worldwide each year. Hemorrhoid anding treats more than 95% of all hemorrhoids and is just as effective as a hemorrhoidectomy. Best of all, it’s much safer and much easier on patients.
